Salmon Beach:Tacoma, Washington

Neighborhood Spotlight: Salmon Beach

Some places stay with you long after you've left them. Salmon Beach is one of those places.

Last week, I had the opportunity to tour a truly special home in a unique waterfront community, another reminder of why I love real estate so much.

What made this visit even more meaningful was my connection to the family who owns it. I've known their daughter through soccer for many years. What started as a connection on the field in elementary years as competitors turned into a college friendship and years of shared memories.

As I have shared before, one of my favorite things about touring homes is imagining how people live in them. I always catch myself picturing how I might live in the home, where I would put a record player, where the cats would spend their afternoons, but more importantly how one of my buyers might make the space their own.

But this tour was different. I have been in this house before. I know this family. As I walked through the home, I got to hear stories about how they had actually lived. Which deck was the favorite spot for morning coffee. Which view was best enjoyed with an evening nightcap. Where friends gathered during summer celebrations. The little rituals and routines that transformed a beautiful house into a home, created community and lasting memories.

This home makes imaging a lifestyle easy…

With multiple decks overlooking the Puget Sound, views of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, the ability to fish right from your own dock, easy access to Point Defiance and Tacoma… it's the kind of place that naturally becomes part of your story.

As I left the home on the beautifully manicured path/stairs, I found myself thinking that while every home has highlight features, the best homes have experiences attached to them.

If you're someone who dreams a little differently, someone looking for a place to watch the seasons change across the Sound, keep an eye out for whales passing by, host friends on the deck, create art, write, read, or simply enjoy a quieter pace of life, I would love to introduce you to places like this.

Because sometimes the right home isn't just where you live. It's how you want to live.

And if this sounds like your kind of lifestyle, I'd love to show you Salmon Beach in person. Reach out to schedule a private tour and let's explore this special corner of the Pacific Northwest. Have you ever been to Salmon Beach? Let me take you there.
