Wildest Dreams
Wildest Dreams:
I believe there is a Taylor Swift song for every occasion.
One of my favorites in her catalog of exceptional song writing is Wildest Dreams. It transports me physically and mentally. Specifically to the Fifth Ave parking garage and the Nines Hotel in Portland. It stirs up feelings of sadness, happiness, excitement and hope all in one. It's a song I can create a personal music video to when I close my eyes.
It reminds me that we make decisions without always knowing the outcomes. That we often dream up a better or different scenario than the reality. That it's ok to remember the good times and be sad it didn’t work out. That our past creates our future. That dreaming wildly is important.
“Say you'll remember me standing in a nice dress
Staring at the sunset, babe
Red lips and rosy cheeks
Say you'll see me again
Even if it's just in your (Just pretend, just pretend)... Wildest dreams”
